Looking for a Downdetector alternative?
Downdetector is a well-known outage tracker built mainly on what people report. Honk Radar answers the same question, "is it down, or is it just me?", from more than one kind of evidence, and says which kind each answer comes from.
What Honk Radar checks
- Official status pages. We read 6,318 services' own status pages, many of them every few minutes, and show what each one says, including named regions and local outages.
- Our own checks. For many services we load the website from our servers in cities around the world, so you can see where it loads and where it doesn't.
- What people report. Anyone can report a problem, without an account. A rise only counts when reports come from several different networks.
- The internet between countries. We measure delay and packet loss on routes between countries and map them with the world's submarine cables.
What we don't claim
A quiet chart doesn't prove a service works, and a few reports don't prove an outage. Where we have no reading, we say so instead of showing it as working. Route maps show where traffic was measured, not which cable carried it.
Privacy
Reports carry no name, email or IP address, and are deleted after 30 days. We don't use analytics or advertising cookies. Details are in our privacy policy.
